Works perfectly on a pond! This is an excellent water toy for outdoor use. It operates pretty simply for a child to use. This will stay afloat for easy recovery. Hooks up to USB to charge the boat and battery operated for the remote. Be careful to watch for weeds or other things floating in the pond which may cause the propeller to stop working until you untangle it. I just wish it had arrived during the spring time so we could use it more. Something to look forward to!

Great toy for a fun time outdoors!

This remote control boat is a stand out whit the sharp contrast of neon green and black colors. It has a easy to use rebutted operated remote control that's easy to use so it's beginner friendly. Have yet to get it in the water due to the cold but this is a keeper and I'm sure the young man in your life would be happy to receive this as a gift.

Sharp colors

The boat is a fun toy for older kids 8+. It's made of hard plastic so you'd have to be careful not to drop it or it might crack. It's approximately 17 1/2&rdquo; in length by 5 1/4&rdquo; wide. On the bottom of the boat it has propeller and rudder. I tried it in the bathtub but the boat is too fast and I couldn't make good turns with it. Eventually when the creek behind my house unfreezes I'll going to see how it performs in a wider water source. The range is 80' so I think you'll have to be careful it doesn't go out of range and can't retrieve it.

Fun Remote Activated Race Boat

The remote control Pavati boat is a very substantial size and just looks real. It's great fun in a pool or a small pond and goes very fast. Anyone who likes the remote cars would love this as a gift. I love the color of Neon. The battery lasts a long time and charges very quickly. The boat was in our pool for over a half an hour racing. What great fun it would be to own two of these and race them. This is fun for all ages and easy to control. I I would recommend these for all ages and it's very sturdy and well-made

Makes a great gift and hobby

This came at a time we were staying at a lake house, so we got to play with this several days. It was cold so didn't try to test out the 80 ft distance, but we did come close and there did not seem to be any connection issues. Not a speed boat but did move really quick in the water. Highly recommended for any age. Even with some wind and small waves there was not water inside the boat when we took the top off. Well made, water proof & the controller is also well made and easy to use.

Sweet remote control boat

My kids love their Hyper Toys RC boat! This RC boat is a great color that really stands out and will be easy to see at the lake this Summer. The speed of this boat is just right and cuts through the water with precision. The remote is a nice size for little hands and it's not too complicated. I'm going to need to buy another RC boat so we can have races. This is great fun for kids and parents!!

Speedy

Never have we had a toy bring so much joy and entertainment to all of the adults and kids in my household the way that this boat has. It has totally exceeded my expectations. While the photo that I am adding is after we have played with it in the bath tub we have used in it a variety of places like our hot tub, our pool which is down for the season but that makes it even funner to stand outside of and watch it skip around, and our creek on calm days. The only issue that I have had with it is only having one, I will be ordering another since it is the most fought over toy that we own. It is easy to charge and when it is fully charged the battery life lasts a long time.

Super fun for the whole family

The Hper Pavati remote control wakeboard boat is great. I love the neon yellow and black color combination is beautiful. I like that the boat battery is rechargeable lithium and has an usb charger cable. The remote controller only takes two AA batteries. It is wonderful that I won't be spending money on specific specialty batteries. I like that the remote controller is waterproof so I don't have to worry about the controller getting wet.

Big RC boat

My parents have a lake on their property and this has definitely been a fun toy. It's not the best quality and it's not super maneuverable or fast, but it's definitely still entertaining and definitely worth the price. I think we're going to try to find another in a different frequency so we can race them.
The waterproof remote control is a big win and so is the rechargeable battery in the boat itself. (Remote takes disposable batteries.)
The instructions don't say how long a full charge on the boat is supposed to last so I can't tell if the 20ish minute run time we're getting is a pro or a con. It seems a little short but it does charge quickly. The instructions do say that it should have about 80 foot range and we're finding it's consistently more like 60 feet but that's still plenty. They recommend standing 15-20 feet from shore so when the range runs out you'll be able to move closer and bring the boat back in. Do This! At least at first until you know your limits. Also try to avoid running through any weeds/lily pads, etc because they will at best gum things up and at worst break the rudder. The plastic feels pretty light and cheap but it's not terrible and pretty expected for the price.
This boat is fun for the lake and I think would also be good for swimming pools since it doesn't really go so fast that you have to worry about slamming into the edges as long as you're careful. Worth the buy!

Fun for the price!

I tested out this Hyper Toys 1:18 Pavati Remote Controlled boat at a local lake and unfortunately I was not that happy with its overall performance. First off the construction is very cheaply done and it does not hold up well to any type of impacts at all. It cracked the first time out using it when it hit a floating stick. The remote would not pick up very far out either and we had to have a boater to go and retrieve it and bring it back within range. It was fun but definitely not worth the hassles. I don't recommend this product unless you modify it for your needs.

Looks good but performance lacks.

We were in need of another remote control boat since my son had one from his birthday and now my daughter wanted one. We have a nearby pond that we go to use remote control water toys when we are home and then a cottage during the summer time. This boat specifically looked nice in the neon color. On top of it there was a on and off switch. Compared to other boats this one was easy to take off the top to get to the battery. It had a good amount of speed once we set it into the pond. That did not last long as after a couple minutes the boat stop moving. You could hear the motor trying to go but no movement was happening. Once I was able to get it back to the edge of the pond I took a deeper inspection of it. The rod for the propeller had broke the bottom piece of plastic that held it in place. This in turn made it so that the gear attached to the rod would no engage with the gear being turned by the motor. I was disappointed that the toy had already broken within a mere few minutes in the water. We did not drop the boat so I'm not sure whether it was the force from the motor or the craftsmanship of it.
