We’re excited to welcome swimmers back to North Clackamas Aquatic Park.

CLOSED on the following dates: April 17 and May 30.

Tuesday/Thursday: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Sunday: 2-5 p.m.

REGISTRATION
Advanced online registration is available for lap swim, exercise classes and Big Surf Recreational Swim, and drop-in visits are also allowed for these programs. Advanced online registration is required for swim lessons. Register here.

NCPRD residents will have priority and can register one week prior to the date of their requested swim session. Non-residents can register two days prior to their requested swim session, if space is available. Swim lessons are the exception, and each season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) will have registration dates.

FAQ

What sanitation protocols and safety measures are you implementing?
The following safety protocols where implemented following state and national guidelines for COVID-19 safety:

  • Plexiglass barriers at the front desk.
  • Touchless hand sanitizer, sinks, paper towels, trashcans and toilets.
  • Reduced capacity of the facility.
  • Online, pre-registration available for premium lap swim lanes, aerobics, swim lessons and Big Surf! Open Swim.
  • Regular cleaning procedures that utilize approved Environmental Protection Agency COVID-19 disinfectants.

Is Big Surf! Recreation Swim open again?
Yes – Swim session intervals will be for an hour and a half each during the following days and times:

  • Saturday
    • Noon-1:30 p.m.
    • 2-3:30 p.m.
  • Sunday
    • 2-3:30 p.m.
    • 4-5:30 p.m.

Are Happy Valley residents still able to sign up for NCPRD aquatic programs?
The City of Happy Valley has officially withdrawn from North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District. Happy Valley residents are welcome to sign up for NCPRD aquatic programs, but as of July 1, 2020 are no longer eligible to receive discounted NCPRD resident rates and priority registration. As a result, it may be difficult to register for high-demand programs, such as lap swim time and swim lessons.

What if I need an accommodation?
If you need any accommodations due to medical conditions or disabilities please contact Jason Kemmerich, jasonkem@ncprd.com to make arrangements prior to your reservations.

Will lockers be available?
Yes – locker rooms are open and lockers are available for use. Lockers are included in your Big Surf! admission, with a $5 deposit or photo ID per key. During health and fitness program times, lockers are still fee oriented.  There is a $10 lost locker key fee.

Will showers be available?
Yes, all locker room showers are available for use.

Am I still able to use my swim pass membership?
Yes – swim passes will be extended from the closure until your first registration. Please contact staff for a specific instructions regarding usage of pass with our online system.

Can I use coupons and punch cards for my swim session?
Yes – punch cards and cash transactions are accepted again at the front desk for non-reservation opportunities.

Am I required to wear a mask? Are staff members?
No.

Are drop-ins and pre-registrations allowed for lap swim or exercise classes?
Yes – a limited number of advanced registrations are allowed for lap swim and aquatic exercise, if you wish to reserve your spot before arriving. Lap swimmer can reserve lanes 1 to 3 with a capacity of 3 swimmers per lane (see Civic Rec for options). Aqua exercise classes will have 10 spots that can be reserved in advance. Drop-ins are also available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What should I bring?
Patrons are encouraged to wear or bring their swimsuit to the Aquatic Park, and bring a personal water bottle. Drinking fountains throughout Aquatic Park and a bottle fill station in the lobby are available for use. Equipment is provided for lap swim or exercise classes, as needed. Additionally, some swim equipment will now be for sale at our front desk.

Can I reserve a lap swim lane to myself?
Lap swimmers can reserve lanes 1-3 with a capacity of 3 swimmers per lane (See online registration system here for details). Lanes 4-6 are drop-in only.
